MEET THE MARES
She Roxs The Song
2013 Grey Mare
Notes: JA Teqita Maydrift has been one of our best mares. Nate used her for many years on the ranch. We knew she would be our number one producer and she was. She Roxs The Song was her first filly. This gray mare was quick footed, athletic and smart. She has given that to all her fillies and colts as well. She has not disappointed us with any of her colts.
Ms Elegant Song
2013 Palomino Mare
Notes: Just like her gray half sister, this mare has produced the best hipped, pretty headed, athletic colts we’ve ever ridden. Her first colt, Biscuit is currently Macey’s number one head horse at CSI. Her latest is our best 2024 colt while her colt from last year is a first colt of our Dukes Cashin Chex and will be super fun to ride and use.
Hattie Jo Red
2012 Buckskin Mare
Notes: We purchased Hattie Jo at the 2012 Pitzer Sale. She was great to ride; smart, athletic, quick footed, good minded She has been a great broodmare as well. Producing some great daughters and one gelding that has exceeded all our expectations.
SDCC Sensation Chic
2009 Sorrel Mare
Notes: We purchase Cash later in her life because purchasing a daughter out of her sire, Sensation Cash, was a dream of ours. Cash produces smart and extremely athletic colts just like her dad.
HR Payin Annie
2015 Sorrel Mare
Notes: We knew the Payin Doc mares would be an outstanding cross on Get That, so we purchased Annie at the 2017 Harrell/MacKenzie Sale. We rode her for a few years. Since then, she has raised us beautiful colts and fillies that have been great on the ranch and will excel in the arena. She adds a little extra foot speed and gas, a perfect amount of brains and vigor.
Cash For Divas
2018 Bay Roan Mare
Notes: Dukes N Divas is one in a million but crossed on a Sensation Cash, Diva is a perfect cross on Get That.
Bucks American Honey
2011 Buckskin Roan Mare
Notes: Gypsy was our second purchase at the 2011 Pitzer Horse Sale. The first was our first stud, Two Eyed Red Dude. We then went back to find more like him. Gypsy was a great using horse on the ranch, good in the arena as well.
Get That Joe Jackie
2020 Bay Mare
Notes: Joe Jack Red X Get That ~ Slick ( Get That) back on Joe Jack Red produced this good, pretty profiling mare. Our plan of crossing her back on our young studs for a perfect outcross will be fun to watch.
Baby Got Jackd
2017 Buckskin Mare
Notes: This young mare we lovingly call BECKY (get it . . . Baby Got "Jackd"). She has raised us two great colts and yes, they have big booties. Her two year old is smart, beautiful and going great. Her yearling and baby are looking just as perfect.
JA Teqita Maydrift
2015 Bay Roan Mare
Notes: JA Teqita Maydrift has been one of our best mares. She is starting to show her age now, but Nate used her for many years on the ranch. We knew she would be our number one producer and she was. This mare was quick footed, athletic and smart. She has given that to all her fillies and colts as well. She has not disappointed us with any of her colts.
Nu Jo Blue
2016 Red Roan Mare
Notes: We purchased Shandie at the 2016 Pitzer Sale with the intent to cross her back on Slick as well. She adds size and bone.
Cees Lena Girl
2003 Bay Mare
Notes: We purchased this mare late in her life as she is really starting to show her age. The Colonel Freckles crossed back on Slick have proven to be extremely athletic with enough stamina to go all day.
Colonels Best Lady
2007 Bay Mare
Notes: Another Colonel Freckles cross that has given us a couple great colts. Our plan is to cross on Slick then back on Dukes Cashn Chex for the ultimate cross.
Crystal Bubbles
2003 Gray Mare
Notes: Sadly, we lost Bubbles this year. While she didn't look like much, she produced some of the best around. Dually, Dollar, Peso, Frankie, Euro and Penny have all proven themselves as keepers. If you're blessed enough to ride one, you know.
